Terms of Service
Last updated: July 29, 2026
Co-Driveris built and operated by Bennett Enterprises (“Bennett Enterprises,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These terms govern your use of the Co-Driverweb app, mobile apps, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Co-Driver.
Navigation is assistance, not a substitute for your judgment
This is the most important section on this page, so we've put it first.
Co-Driver provides routing, clearance checks, hazard alerts, and guidance based on map data and the rig profile you enter. All of it can be wrong.Map data goes out of date, bridge and weight restrictions change, construction moves, and the profile you saved may not match the load you're pulling today.
You remain solely responsible for operating your vehicle safely and legally. Always obey posted signs, physical clearance markings, weigh station and scale requirements, and the instructions of law enforcement and DOT officers — even when they contradict Co-Driver. Never rely on this Service as your only source of clearance, weight, or hazmat routing information, and do not interact with the app in a way that takes your attention from the road.
Some limits are specific and worth stating plainly: trailer length is not currently sent to our routing provider, so routes are not checked against length restrictions; posted speed limits shown are general limits, not truck-specific limits; and our hours-of-service tools are a planning aid and are not an ELD and are not a compliance system of record.
Who can use Co-Driver
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you use Co-Driveron behalf of a company, you confirm you're authorized to accept these terms for it.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access. Authentication is handled by our identity provider, Clerk; see our Privacy Policy for how your information is handled.
Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
- Co-Driver offers a free trial followed by a paid subscription. Paid features are identified in the app before you subscribe.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider, Polar. We do not store your card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable. If something went genuinely wrong, contact us — we'd rather sort it out than argue about it.
- We may change prices. If we do, we'll give you notice before the change affects your renewal, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
Your content stays yours
Documents, receipts, routes, duty logs, and Pay Protection records you create or upload remain yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, process, and display that content back to you so the Service can work.
Co-Driver is not fleet surveillance. We do not sell your location data, and we do not hand your records to a carrier, broker, or insurer as a product. Where a feature shares data — for example generating an inspection packet or a pay evidence link — it happens because you chose to share it.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- Use the Service in a way that breaks the law or violates DOT/FMCSA regulations.
- Interact with the app while driving in a way that endangers yourself or others.
- Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or another user's account.
- Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission.
- Upload content you don't have the right to upload.
Safety Pete and AI features
Safety Pete is an AI assistant. He can look things up, take a small number of actions you ask for, and answer questions about routes, hours, inspections, and pay disputes.
AI output can be wrong.Do not treat Pete's answers as legal, regulatory, medical, or mechanical advice, and verify anything that matters — especially regulations, clearances, and numbers — against an authoritative source. Voice features require sending audio to a third-party speech service for transcription; where that applies, the app tells you before you turn it on.
Third-party services
Co-Driverdepends on services we don't control, including mapping and routing data, authentication, payments, and AI providers. Their availability and accuracy are not guaranteed by us, and their own terms may apply to your use of them.
Service availability
We work to keep Co-Driverrunning, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid feature you rely on, we'll give reasonable notice.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bennett Enterprises will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost loads, fines, citations, cargo loss, vehicle damage, or personal injury arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Termination
You may stop using Co-Driverand delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, or if we're required to by law. You can request a copy or deletion of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Co-Driverevolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
